Heute Morgen war nochmals joggen angesagt, nur aus dem Schwimmen wurde nichts, da gestern die Schleuse geöffnet wurde und seither braunes Wasser vom Teich beim Sanctuary Café ins Meer fliesst, das alles andere als appetitlich aussieht... : (

 

This morning again jogging was scheduled, unfortunately I couldn’t go for a swim as the sluice gate had been opened yesterday and since then brown water from the pond at the Sanctuary Café was flowing into the sea, which looked anything but appetizing... : (

Um 10 Uhr holte mich Stacey ab und wir fuhren zusammen nach Bridgetown. Wir klapperten fast alle Geschäfte ab, weil wir immer wieder den heftigen Regengüssen entfliehen mussten! ; ) Es machte echt Spass, war aber auch ermüdend. Ein gegrillter Mahi Mahi mit frischem Gemüse im Waterfront Café (https://www.facebook.com/WaterfrontCafeBdos) war die verdiente Stärkung und Erholung danach!

At 10 am Stacey picked me up and we drove to Bridgetown. We browsed around almost every shop, because we had to get shelter from the heavy downpours again and again! ; ) We had lots of fun, but it was tiring too. A grilled Mahi Mahi with fresh vegetables at the Waterfront Café (https://www.facebook.com/WaterfrontCafeBdos) was the deserved refreshment and recovery afterwards!

Am Abend besuchten Stacey und ich den Fischmarkt in Oistins, wo am Wochenende viel Trubel herrscht... Viele kleine Fischrestaurants wie Verkaufsstände ringen um Klientel und Tanzflächen mit lauter Musik laden zum Tanzen ein. Wir setzten uns ers mal ins bereits bekannten Chillin & Grillin (https://www.facebook.com/chillinandgrillinbar) und genossen ein ebenso gutes Essen und Service wie letztes Mal, als weit weniger Betrieb herrschte - wenn das nicht für das Restaurant spricht!? : )

In the evening, Stacey and I visited the fish market in Oistins, where there is much hustle and bustle going on on the weekends... There are lots of small fish restaurants and stalls competing for clientele as well as dance floors with loud music inviting for a dance. We first took a table at the already known Chillin & Grillin (https://www.facebook.com/chillinandgrillinbar) and enjoyed an equally good food and service as last time, when there was far fewer crowds - if that does not speak for the restaurant!? : )
