Im Paradies angekommen

Stunden erholsamem Schlaf erwachte ich um 6 Uhr bei Sonnenaufgang. Obwohl ich
sonst immer ziemlich spät mit den Eulen zu Bett gehe und morgens
dementsprechend lange schlafe, war es hier in der Karibik schon immer so, dass
ich früh zu Bett gehe weil ich auch früh erwache… woher dieser andere Rhythmus kommt,
weiss ich (noch) nicht, aber so kann ich die relativ kurzen Tage voll auskosten - denn die hier sind von 6 bis 18 Uhr, dann wird es sehr schnell dunkel!
Um 7 Uhr
war ich schon unterwegs zum Joggen, barfuss auf dem weissen puderigen
Sandstrand. Danach genoss ich das Schwimmen im 28 Grad warmen Meer und prompt
begrüsste mich die erste Meeresschildkröte! Die Temperaturen hier bewegen sich
übrigens zwischen 30 Grad am Tag und 25 in der Nacht.... einfach nur herrlich...
After 9 hours of restful sleep I woke up at 6 am with sunrise. Although I usually go to bed pretty late with the owls and accordingly sleep in the mornings, here in the Caribbean I always went to bed early because I woke up early... where this other rhythm comes from I do not know, but like it as I can enjoy fully the relatively short days - which are here from 6 am - 6 pm, thereafter it becomes dark very fast!
At 7 am I was already jogging barefoot on the white powdery sand beach. After that, I enjoyed swimming in the 28 centigrade warm ocean, where I was promptly greeted by the first sea turtle! By the way, temperatures here are between 30 centigrade during the day and 25 at night... absolutely gorgeous...

Frühstück mit Chris schmiedeten wir Pläne und hatten natürlich vieles

Das Mittagessen nahmen wir im George Washington House (https://www.facebook.com/GeorgeWashingtonBarbados) ein, dem Anwesen wo der ehemalige amerikanische Präsident wohnte. Ein äusserst sypathisches Café in der Nähe der Pferderennbahn, wo alles frisch mit Biozutaten zubereitet wird.
We had lunch at the George Washington House (https://www.facebook.com/GeorgeWashingtonBarbados), the property where the former American president lived. It’s a very pleasant café near the horse racecourse, where everything is prepared freshly with organic ingredients.

Gegen
Abend spazierten wir (natürlich barfuss am Strand entlang) zur nahen Sundowner
Bar Chrystal Waters (https://www.facebook.com/p/Crystal-Waters-Beach-Bar-100084402018561) und genossen alten Barbados Rum mit Kokosnusswasser sowie
einen sensationellen Sonnenuntergang…

In the evening we walked (of course barefoot along the
beach) to the near Sundowner Bar Chrystal Waters (https://www.facebook.com/p/Crystal-Waters-Beach-Bar-100084402018561) and enjoyed old Barbados rum
with coconut water as well as a sensational sunset...
